Sometimes thru no fault of you own life will just kick you in the nuts. Then kick you in the head when your bent over. I made a goal to double my income every 6 months. Shortly after I made that goal I lost my primary source of income. I am not discouraged. I figure when one door shuts another one opens. Sometimes you may have to kick one open, but what ever works. I’ve been in the Computer Field since 1980. When I entered the field you only needed your degree or a certificate from a technical school. Now in order to do a job I already know how to do I have to pay for tests to get my Certs. I am 54 years old and back in College. I must admit the courses are great and I am learning a great deal. Soon I will be testing for my A+ and my Net+ Certs. After those I will get my Server+, MCSE+, and CCNA+. Basically I can do most of the things involved with trouble shooting a PC or rebuilding one but, I don’t have the Certs. I’m changing all of that. When I was learning about computers everything was hands on now there are LabSims. Lab Simulations are easy to understand. With LabSims you can go from a PC user to a PC tech in a little bit of no time. Since this section of my blog is about Goals, I’ve had to adjust my goals. My goals are now to get the above certs within the next 2 years or sooner. I will also be generating additional cash flows. I’ll make a different post about what actually works for me making money online.
My Tech instructor at college is 29 years old. I had an older son. I must admit my instructor has taught me a few things I didn’t know. The class I’m in is only 4 students. The second week we built a PC from scratch and installed the Windows 7 Operating System. If we have done that in two weeks imagin what we’ll be doing by graduation. Even though my financial situation has taken a step backwards I adjusted my situation to move forward financially. You cannot sit on your butt when something goes wrong you have to take responsibilty for yourself (No One Else Is Going TO) and move ahead. When life knocks you on your ass you have to get up and dust yourself off and move forward. I’m looking for a real job in the Baltimore, Maryland if anyone has a lead…
